Holidays

Holidays are important part of culture. Whether they are religious or political based, holidays give people the chance to spend time with loved ones, take a break from work and to smile. From Ramadan in the Middle East to Christmas in Europe and the Americas, holidays have also become an important business. Many companies have carved a successful niche out of catering to the needs of specific observant of certain celebrations. For example, in North America many cities celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with green beer and in Spain bulls are ran down streets. These celebrations and the thousands like them provide ample opportunity for fun, camaraderie and financial gain. That is, of course, unless you live alone on a desert island. However, there is a good chance that even all alone and stranded, one would still remember and yearn to celebrate holidays. They are really that important to us all.
