Al-Amal Aid Ship Expected to Arrive Tomorrow at Dawn amid Pressures on the Owner
PDF  | Print |

Al-Amal Aid Ship is steadily heading towards Gaza port in a normal way so far; in appropriate circumstances and amid Israeli condemnation and refusal to allow it to anchor in Gaza port and threats to resort to force in dealing with it.

On the other hand, pressures are escalating at various levels on the owner of the vessel and its Captain to force the Ship to change its course and not to go to Gaza port. The Foundation has received a letter from the owner company of the vessel confirming the sustained pressures put on them up to now. The Ship owner affirmed his rejection of the pressure; however, he stressed that he did not intend to enter into any confrontation.

While the Gaddafi International Charity and Development Foundation re-affirms once again the humanitarian and peaceful nature of this journey, it renews its call for all parties to enable the Ship to reach its final destination.

It is worth mentioning here that the Ship is now about one hundred and twenty kilometers away from the port of Gaza and is expected to be off the coast at dawn tomorrow.
