Al-Amal Aid Ship is steadily heading towards Gaza port in a normal way so far; in appropriate circumstances and amid Israeli condemnation and refusal to allow it to anchor in Gaza port and threats to resort to force in dealing with it.
On the other hand, pressures are escalating at various levels on the owner of the vessel and its Captain to force the Ship to change its course and not to go to Gaza port. The Foundation has received a letter from the owner company of the vessel confirming the sustained pressures put on them up to now. The Ship owner affirmed his rejection of the pressure; however, he stressed that he did not intend to enter into any confrontation.
While the Gaddafi International Charity and Development Foundation re-affirms once again the humanitarian and peaceful nature of this journey, it renews its call for all parties to enable the Ship to reach its final destination.
It is worth mentioning here that the Ship is now about one hundred and twenty kilometers away from the port of Gaza and is expected to be off the coast at dawn tomorrow.
Please continue reporting, and let us pray for its safe arrival in Gaza Port

- A very big part of the worlds citizens support the palenstines and follow these hours the Amalthea - renamed Hope. We follow it on all media and on Facebook. And on www.marinetraffic.com Unfortunately it suddenly stopped under the name Amalthea. An hour later we could follow it as "Hope" for few minutes - then it disappeared again probably by israeli signals. We share all information we can. Make groups - grassrotsmovements - facebookgroups and much more All to spread the message wherever we can of Israeli crualty to the palenstine.. especially the people on the Gaza Strip. Wordwide boycott of Israeli Goods grows and grows hour after hour in many countries. On facebook several 100.000 or maybe 1.000.000 are member of groups who boycott israeli goods. Even many shops and big chains stop selling israeli goods by themselves.
We all hope the Amalthea will arrive safely to Gaza harbours. And we all hope it will be without no more killing by israeli soldiers. In any case this aid-ship by You will encourage many peacefully groups to continue their fight for a free Palenstine.
On Facebook some groups try to gatther 1000 boats of all kinds and 100.000 people to sail to Gaza next year on the anniversary day of the 9 killings. Like the Armada of Peace group.
From many of us our very best wishes Gerth Jacobsen
